Difference between HTML and HTML5

HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language and is the standard for creating web pages.

HTML describes the structure of a web page using different tags like “heading”, “paragraph”, “image”, etc. to label pieces of content. Browsers do not display the HTML tags but use them to render the content of the web page.

HTML5 is the latest version of HTML which introduces a lot of new features like support for audio and video, vector graphics, APIs for geolocation, drag and drop, storage options, new form elements and more.

All new features introduced in HTML5 along with description and tutorials can be found here.
